Fire Rated Panels & Doors

1. Rockwool Core

These fire rated panels are similar in construction to our standard insulated panels except that the core consists of Rockwool.  Rockwool is an insulation media made from the natural ingredients Basalt rock and Chalk. It conforms in all respects to the accepted South African standard for thermal insulation and has the following properties:

Our fire rated wall panel system has been tested according to SABS 0177 Part 2-1981 “Fire resistance test for non-loadbearing building elements” and achieved the following results:

2. CALCIUM SILICARE CORE- 'FIRECELL'

“FIRECELL®” Fire Resistent Panels "Patent No. F2000/1018"
Our “FIRECELL®” panels are similar in construction to our standard insulated panels except that the core is of calcium silicate. Calcium silicate is a white, essentially dust-free, non-synthetic fibre product. It conforms in all respects to the accepted South African standard for thermal insulation and has the following properties:

Our “Firecell” panel system has been tested according to SABS 0177 Part 2-1981 “Fire resistance test for non-loadbearing building elements” and achieved the following results:

The main advantages of  our Fire Rated panels are:

Pre-painted, maintenance free and washable surface.
Long span, vertically or horizontally joined panels.
Thickness from 40mm to 150mm depending on required fire resistance.
Core does not melt at high temperatures
No toxic fumes or dense clouds are released during fire
Unique joining system eliminates the problem of thermal bridges
Dimensionally stable
Notable savings on installation time and costs
Lower insurance premiums
Fire Rated panels are ideally suited for the following high temperature applications:
Non-combustible cubicles for cleanrooms
Non-combustible partitions and ceilings for lining existing cold rooms
Non-combustible spray booths in the automotive industry
Fire rated computer rooms, control rooms, air handling units
Fire rated compartment walls, ceilings and barriers for escape routes, service ducts and compartmentalization of large non-residential buildings such as hospitals + shopping centres
High performance firewalls for division of flammable stores in factories and warehouses.

Some of our clients include:

Pfiser - Cleanroom facilities
BMW - Paint shop, Dyno Chambers.
Hella - Headlamp manufacturing cleanrooms.
Delta Motor Corporation - Spray Booth.
